Scythe is around the computer cooling for many years, with a lot of high quality solutions. The main characteristics of Scythe are quality at affordable prices, and of course...performance!

I would like to thank Scythe for the sample.

The need for better vga cooling solutions is becoming more and more intense, of course Scythe couldn't stay out of this. The result was a 25cm cooler, with two 12cm slim fans.Featuring two heatpipes that remove the heat from the core fast, and aluminium fins that dessipate the heat to environment very effectively.

Let's have a look at features and specifications!

All data is taken from Scythe EU website:

Testing was performed with 2 different vga's, mine 7950GT and an Ati 4850 from a friend who gave me the vga for the needs of this test.

Testing was performed at a constant room temperature of 24 degrees, using Arctic Ceramique.
Due to rush I forgot to take pictures of the cooler placed to the card::blush

You can have a look at the results!!!

Just unbelievable..reduced the 4850 load temps 36 degrees and the 7950Gt load temps an astonishing 66 degrees!!!!
It is really silent at low and middle rpm(you need to place your ear at 5cm near to hear anything), and at high rpm the cooler makes no more noise than a regular 12cm fan.
Big advantage is that the air flows directly to the card and cools all tha components. Also tha whole cooler is very light despite the size.

+Easy to install
+LOT'S of heatsinks

Musashi left me really impressed from all aspects...noiseless and very effective!
